🖋️Feature: I would like to get more paid subscribers on this publication
Time for some tough love, so please unsubscribe if you don't want to pay, it is better for everyone and only fair
👋 Welcome, welcome new paid subscribers!
Being a writer and content creator is hard.
Getting paid for your work, equitably is often challenging.
It makes me doubt my skills, my writing, my work here and also I feel pangs of resentment, as a woman, I am already disadvantaged and exposed to the Gender Pay Gap for my work.
Regardless.
Getting to day 21 of my 30 day Nomad November Challenge and I can feel it, in all of my being.
Why?
Because I still operate my day-to-day work and business, regardless. I have client deadlines and projects, which are ongoing.
This Digital Nomad Stories project is a labour of love and what I hope to monetise in 2024.
Aside from the 100’s of hour of effort, evidence of which is here:
Nomad November Summary: #1 Nomad Skills > #2 DNS Origin Story > #3 Three Prompts for Better Nomad Living > #4 Liberland Representative, Samuela > #5 Fast Nomadism is unsustainable > #6 Audio Exercise, get ready to take a Better Break > #7 Remote Work could solve global poverty > #8 The Entrepreneurs cashing in on Nomads > #9 My Travel Transit Mobile Office Setup > #10 Retreat from life with a Retreat > #11 Seven Substack Read’s and Recco’s > #12 That time I was headhunted for a Remote Role > #13 Group Chat is open! > #14 What is an adequate Remote Work space? >#15 Certain songs support fruitful work >#16 Meet My, dancing around the world with confidance! >#17 Delete your inbox! > #18 All I want for Christmas is paid subscribers > #19 This is a scheduled message > #19 Seven titles on my Bookshelf
So I need to stand strong and firm, yes, I need to ask and almost insist that if you want to keep reading and benefiting from my work, that you value it like I do. That you pay for it!
Note: ALL of the above articles have been place behind a paywall, which will now happen automatically to all free posts after 3 days.
To be clear, I have other costs for publication operations, including (but not limited too): imagery and design costs, custom domain costs, partnerships with other Substacks, cross promotional costs, subscribing, reading learning from other successful Substacks etc. etc.
So if you have read this far, thanks.
Now, please consider paying to be a subscriber and/or giving a gift subscription.
💌 Special message to all subscribers:
This is a reader supported publication, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
☕ For the price of a cup of coffee you can become a paid monthly subscriber!

We have reached a sorry state, where quality "content" (and eurgh, that's such an awful word anyway) is not valued any more.
My way of giving thanks this week is to recognise some creators who inspire me, in a way that actually means something 🥰
