🖋️Feature: Seven Substack recommendations
I have been writing and READING more during November
As part of my 30 days Nomad November Challenge, my daily routine includes journalling and doing my Morning Pages (yes, Julian Cameron, Author of “The Artists’s Way” is amazing and a huge inspiration to my work) and also reading more.
I am reading both real books made of paper that I can hold in my hands, my preference usually! What!? You may ask. Yup, I am a semi-Nomadic remote worker, that generally carries books around with me. I am about to finish “The Fault in our Stars” actually, by John Green, for the second time in recent months, yes, it is that good! Plus I am reading more on Substack.

Why? you may ask. Well actually, because I firstly want to learn more from other writers, for the first year on here. I was sticking to reading the main 2 writers that inspired me to join the platform
and . But in recent months I have paid more attention and found new writers to read (see the full list below). Also for full disclosure, some of those writers it is not just about their content, but also how they write, organise their publication, build their subscriptions etc. I care not only about topics, but also about how those topics are presented to the end reader.See the list of my current 7 favourite publications:
In order of when I subscribed to them, from perhaps late 2021:
- by read “The Anti-Workforce”, Ed’s latest piece, which for me is Ed writing at his very best. I have donated to Ed’s publication by buying him a coffee, this publication is free, always.
- by a recent article on the “The Fetishness of Fall”, considering 70% of pumpkins go to landfill, is a must-read.
I am a paid subscriber of this publication.
- , reliable remote jobs regularly sent to your inbox.

- by and , we need to support and read independent climate journalism, so that writing like this, can be written. I am a paid subscriber of this publication. I am a paid subscriber of this publication.
Seven publication subscriptions seems like enough for me just now to keep a regular track off and have time to read.
However, going into 2024, here are other publications that I am considering subscribing too:
