📆 Yes, we know ou plans for the 14th of August, 2025.
Don’t laugh at me. Or at us!
I guess I have always been like this. That is, I like to plan travel ahead. Once I had a child, that became even more important.
Why?
Well not only because of school holidays but also because of saving money. When you book early you tend to save. When you book early *you can* take advantage of platforms like home exchange and trusted housesitters to find free stays.

Then factor in that both myself and my partner travel for work and host (or speak) at international events, well then, yes, you bet - travel planning is a sport in our house.

Yes, before you ask:
✅ Easter 2025 is booked. Granada and Andalusia organised.
✅ Summer 2025 too. Ireland, France and Galicia, thank you very much ;-)
✅ December 2025: in the planning, we are considering a new destination, possible the Azores or Cabo Verde.
Plus:
✅ October 2025: is also in the mix, as there is some school holidays then and we visit Morocco as a family.
We know that planning early not only maximises our chances of getting better travel deals but also we can weave in remote work so we can part-time nomad and enjoy more travel.

Another extra benefit of booking and planning early is that you know and can tell people, when you give people extra notice, they can say things like:
“Hey our house is empty on those dates, why not stay with us!?”
This has happened to us numerous times.
Or maybe even, oh that sounds fun, can we join you?
Sharing is caring and we have also found ways to save by joining other families who are traveling too.
❓ So, what about you? How far ahead do you travel plan and why?
Why not join in on the conversation in our exclusive community weekly threads, see below:
Looking forward to getting to know y’all and learn all about the ways you nomad and travel plan!
