Sometimes I cannot stay as long as I would like, but here is how I make it matter

Ideally, I like to spend multiple weeks in a place.
I don’t believe in one fixed description of a Nomad - same as for human beings.
We are always evolving, learning, beginning again and renewing. Human Nature.
Recently, I found myself (happily!) in Cilento, Southern Italy with a new client there.
“Come and see our locations Ro!” Was the invite.
With an already packed (most important!) family calendar of commitments, remember: we were in Tuscany, Italy with Boundless.Life as a family for 6 weeks.
So, I “squeezed” in a 2 day trip.
Here is how I endeavoured to be very present, in a short amount of time.
Thursday: Photo taken in the first moments after I arrived, as a reference
With focus, I saw the view, visually, with landmarks, colours and patterns. The Vista.
Then, with my senses, sounds, smells, the feeling of the sea breeze on my face, the taste of the salty air.
Later, before bedtime I sat in the dark and digested the same view, at nightfall.
Friday: Photo taken at Sunrise, 6:30AM following morning
Again, I repeated the above noting any similarities to the afternoon or night time.
Welcoming differences: like the pink colour tinge on the horizon or the cooler breeze.
Setting the intention to be present in this beautiful place again.
Saturday: Photo taken after Sunrise, 7:30 am, final morning
Can you tell it has been a stormy night! I could.
I particularly appreciated the view again, the fresher air, the smell of a stormy sea.
The overall strength of mood in the vista.
Then I reflected in my journaling practice, about it all.
Writing: My vista, that I had relished in for the short time, that I had made mine.
Mine, for that short yet intentional space of time.
Until the next #DigitalNomadStory,
take care, love n light - 💚 Ro
Special thanks to my hosts from the OutQuarters project, Roberto & Ivano, their friends and family. Cilento is charming, I cannot wait to return!
